Review: Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel + GIVEAWAY!

Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel

You are looking at a brand new Korres convert. I heard about this brand first on Hello October YT channel, where Suzie talked about their lip butters. I stumbled upon the brand on ASOS a few weeks ago and when I saw their awesome 1+1 offer on their shower gels, I just had to try them out for myself. I opted for the Japanese Rose version as I have a thing for rose-scented skincare and bodycare items lately and it comes as no surprise I fell in sweet, sweet love with this as soon as I opened the package.

Korres is a natural Greek brand, offering various make up, skincare, suncare, haircare and bodycare items. They use almost all natural ingredients. They steer clear from alcohols, parabens, silicone, mineral oil, etc. and they don't test on animals. Their packaging is not only super cool looking, but also 100% recyclable.

What intrigued me most about the brand are the gorgeous graphic design, the selection of ingredients and their whole philosophy. I can picture myself chilling on a Greek island, taking a cold shower after a long, hot day, and refreshing myself with the lovely scents of japanese rose and the likes. I've said this once and I'll say it again: the fragrance of this shower gel is B-E-A-utiful! It's probably just my flower-craze talking, but when I stepped out of the shower, I felt like a Japanese princess in a temple underneath mount Fiji. Okay, I heard myself, I'mma kick it down a notch. In a nutshell, it left my skin feeling very nourished and soft and the scent lingered around for quite some time.

The main ingredients in this shower gel that nourish your body are wheat and aloe vera. The wheat proteins form a film on your skin that protects it and keeps the moisture from getting out, while the aloe vera takes care of it as only aloe vera can. According to the Korres website: "It has significant antioxidant, skin softening and soothing properties." It comes in a sturdy plastic 250 ml bottle with an easy to use plastic cap.

ASOS for some reason doesn't stock the Japanese Rose shower gels anymore, and I want to share my excitement, so I'm giving away the second bottle I got to one of my lovely readers! It is open internationally and it will be open until the 20th of May. I announce the winner on my Facebook page, so make sure to follow! The first 4 entries are obligatory and the last 2 will give you extra chances to win. I'll also send an e-mail to the winner and I'll wait 48 hours for them to write back, otherwise I'll choose another winner. Wow, so much technical jibber-jabber! If you want to try out the awesomeness that is Korres, follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter form below! :)
