Winter Ready With Labello Goodies

Lip Butter Coconut | Repair & Beauty Lip Balm | Fruit & Shine Cherry*

A while ago I was pleasantly surprised with a goodie package from Labello. I received the newest Lip Butter in Coconut, the Repair & Beauty lip balm and the Fruit & Shine lip balm in Cherry

As soon as the days get darker and the air gets colder I whip out my puffy winter parka, my scarves, hats, the whole shebang. One thing I can't go without are lipbalms. I hate the feeling of chapped lips, especially now, with Christmas around the corner, I'm gonna wanna glam mah face up a lil' bit with some red lipstick and such. And there's no worse feeling than wearing lipstick over chapped lips, am I right?

Out of this balm-iful bunch I liked Repair & Beauty the best. Not only it gives my lips the ultimate ever-so-needed moisture, it also gives a lovely pink sheen, as if I applied a lipgloss. Nothing too in-your-face, just your regular 'kissable' effect. I've been using it every day since I got it. Score!

I had my doubts about the Fruit & Shine line, since I'm not a huge fan of sparkle and fruit on my lips, but it turned out quite okay, it gives a subtle sheen, just a little bit of colour and it smells quite nice. I'd recommend it to every fruity lover out there!

Last, but not least, is the Coconut Lip Butter. I'm sure I'm not the only girl, who doesn't like to use lip balms in a pot on the go. I drive around on the city bus a lot and you know, public places and bacteria go hand in hand... So I don't like tapping my fingers in a pot of lip balm all that much. But no worries, I found the perfect purpose for it. It's now a key piece in my makeup artist collection, since I can just scoop it out with my spatula and put on my clients' lips before lipstick/lipgloss application. Brill! :)

What's your favourite lip balm? :)

Love,
N. xx

Review & Giveaway: La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Cream

*La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Cream

Since starting my MA degree in English and Spanish and starting a course to become a professional makeup artist, my head has been in two places. You have never seen a girl so confused and forgetful as I am now. My life got a bit busier, although it was already busy before with the 8-hour work schedule, and I am finding less and less energy to get ready properly in the mornings. Since I accidentally smashed my L'Oréal True Match liquid foundation bottle in the bathroom (blame it on the 5 AM wake up call) it is even harder for me to get ready quickly. I was delighted when I came across LRP's new little helper, the Hydreane BB cream.

The Hydreane line is destined for sensitive skin and supplies it with the ever-so-needed moisture through LRP's thermal water. These products are enriched with selenium and hydrolipids, which provide moisture, decrease sensitivity of the skin and help it absorb and release water. The formula of this LRP line is minimalistic and safe, not overly complicated, so you don't have to worry about the never ending list of unknown ingredients and never before heard stuff that's supposed to help you, but you don't even know how to spell or pronounce it.

The Hydreane BB cream is the first BB cream to contain LRP's thermal water. By applying it, we provide moisture to our skin, even out its tone, calm it down (this is where the thermal water kicks in) and with its SPF 20 provide UV protection as well. The product is dermatologically tested, does not contain any parabens and is non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. It is available in two shades, Light and Medium.

I tested out the Light version, because I'm one of the paler girls and I have to say it has become my go to skin perfecting product in the early mornings. Sometimes I have to be out of my apartment in a manner of minutes and slapping on a bit of Hydreane BB cream and concealer has been saving my life. Okay, no one's ever died of a case of 'the dull face' but you know what I mean. It doesn't clog my pores, it fits my complexion perfectly, it's easy to work with (fingers, a foundation brush or a sponge) and it didn't cause any allergic reactions. The coverage is quite light to medium, so I usually add some concealer to cover up the pesky imperfections that won't hide under the BB cream.

Saving the best for last, the lovely people that do La Roche Posay Slovenia's PR have offered to supply me with not one but NINE individual tubes of the Hydreane BB cream in the shade Light for my lovely readers to try out. If you want to win your very own, follow the instructions of the Rafflecopter below. The giveaway will be up until Sunday, the 30th of November (12 AM) and I will announce the winners shortly after. If the winner won't respond in 48 hours, I will pick someone else. This giveaway is open for my Slovenian readers only! Wishing you luck! :) xx
