Review: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm + GIVEAWAY!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm*

Hello everyone! I am finally done with exams for the summer and can dedicate some of my time to this little corner of the internet I have been neglecting so much lately. Today I will be talking about the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm. I've come in contact with the Aqualia Thermal line last year, while testing out the Light Moisturizer, which was just absolutely wonderful, see my review of it here

The Awakening Eye Balm from the same line offers dynamic hydration to the area around the eyes, which oftenly lacks water and thus becomes dry and rigid. This is due to the fact that the skin around our eyes is so much thinner than anywhere else on our bodies and quickly loses hydration. The Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm is the first Vichy eye product to stabilize water circulation around the eyes. It promises long lasting haydration. Among its ingredients you will find hyaluronic acid, caffeine and Vichy thermal water, which retain water underneath the skin. It doesn't contain parabens or fragrances, it is hypoallergenic and was tested dermatologically and oftalmologically.

Its texture is very interesting. It comes out as a bright blue gel, which turns into 'water', or as I would rather say, an oil-like liquid, which moisturizes the dry parts around my eyes, which I usually get in the morning. Even after a while, when I expect it to already be sunken in the skin, my eye area still feels soft, velvety and hydrated to the touch. It isn't greasy or uncomfortable, just very different than any eye cream I've tried so far. I also use it before putting on makeup on myself and on my clients, because it does a wonderful job at hydrating dry patches in the corners of my eyes, I get so frequently. There's nothing worse than putting on foundation and finishing your makeup look only to see you have dry bits around the eyes, because you haven't moisturized properly. Rebuke!

It comes in a 15ml plastic packaging with a pump, a sleek bright blue metallic body and a silver cap. The Vichy design is flawless as always. It squeezes out just the right amount, sometimes I use two pumps, sometimes just one for both eyes, depends on how my skin is at the time.

If you're in need of a new eye cream, I highly recommend this one! And if you're in need of a moisturizer, I am giving away one pot of Aqualia Thermal Light Moisturizer, the one I reviewed here, so click away to my Facebook page and participate! :)

Have a lovely week!
